The Illusion of Freedom: A Bitter Truth
Human beings are not powerless, they are free. Ha! Isn’t that such a big lie? As I write this line today, I can’t help but laugh. How can anyone claim that humans are not powerless? We all know that humans are indeed powerless, and this powerlessness is something we choose for ourselves. Some are powerless in the face of love, while others are helpless in the pursuit of their dreams. Some are enslaved by their desires, while others succumb to greed and lust.
The Chains We Choose
Memories and regrets of the past weigh some down, while the unknowns of the future keep others awake at night. We humans are powerless and weak. We are also helpless and humble. Despite all this, we are selfish and cruel. We are arrogant like Satan and stubborn like the devil. Above all, we humans are forgetful.
Forgetting Our Origin
We forget how we were created. We were nothing, and then Allah made us into something. Whatever we have become today is because of Allah, yet we forget this. Forgetful people wander aimlessly. In their wandering, they cross boundaries that were forbidden for them, stepping into territories dominated by Satan.
The Deception of the Devil
When has it ever happened that someone entered the realm of Satan, and he did not welcome them with open arms? The one who welcomes is seen as a well-wisher, a friend who fulfills desires. Humans embrace this entity, allowing it into their lives and hearts. Ha! How foolish and cruel humans can be.
The Eternal Struggle
In this eternal struggle between good and evil, we are often our own worst enemies. Our forgetfulness and powerlessness make us vulnerable to the temptations of Satan. It’s a constant battle to remember our origin, to stay true to our Creator, and to resist the allure of worldly desires. Only by acknowledging our weaknesses and seeking strength from Allah can we hope to overcome the challenges we face.
This structure breaks down the themes of powerlessness, choice, forgetfulness, and the eternal struggle into clear, focused sections.
