زندگی میں یا موت میں؟
کیسے ملے گا اس بےچین کو آرام؟
مر کے یا دنیا میں رہ کر؟
مرنا! یہی تو تھا واحد حل،
مگر، جو بھی عزیز ہو انساں کو
وہ اسے کہاں ملتا ہے؟
چھین لی گئی اس سے موت بھی
لوگ کہتے تھے کہ موت ہے اس کی دوست
مگر اک بات محض وہ جانتی تھی کہ
موت تک نے نہیں کیا تھا اسے قبول
درحقیقت، اسے سمجھا نہ گیا تھا
موت تک کے قابل!
